• Wants to enable 'organic' students from different European countries, to get in contact with each other
• Wants to promote organic agriculture as a valid alternative
• Organizes every summer a meeting, somewhere in Europe, where we meet, visit and discuss: the ENOAS Summer Meeting.

International Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture Training

The origin of the present IFSAT foundation can be traced back to the IFOAM conference in Budapest in August 1990. Some delegates during meetings identified the need to work together and present an international training body with experience and tools directed at operational levels of sustainable farming; farmers, advisors, trainers and practical researchers.

It took some time and working together in different consortia before in January 1997 the present organisation was founded.

The goals of the foundation are:

1. The development and support of activities and projects for sustainable agriculture training and education in the context of sustainable rural development
2. The implementation of all further actions which could contribute to this goal and are related to the above in the broadest sense.

The IFSAT Foundation is a registered charity, nr.42731 at the Chamber Of Commerce, Apeldoorn NL.

AGROSKILLTransferring methods for validation of informal learning to VETinstitutions in the field of sustainable agriculture

• AGROSKILL is focused on the problem of validation of non-formal and informal learning, in one of the areas where non-formal training and knowledge-based expertise are the most pregnant, agriculture, trying to "preserve the benefits for the environment and the protection of nature and support training and education for professionals in sustainable agriculture" (European Action Plan for organic food and agriculture).
