International Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture Training
The origin of the present IFSAT foundation can be traced back to the IFOAM conference in Budapest in August 1990. Some delegates during meetings identified the need to work together and present an international training body with experience and tools directed at operational levels of sustainable farming; farmers, advisors, trainers and practical researchers.
It took some time and working together in different consortia before in January 1997 the present organisation was founded.
The goals of the foundation are:
- The development and support of activities and projects for sustainable agriculture training and education in the context of sustainable rural development
- The implementation of all further actions which could contribute to this goal and are related to the above in the broadest sense.
The IFSAT Foundation is a registered charity, nr.42731 at the Chamber Of Commerce, Apeldoorn NL.
